As a lebanese artist, Rechmaoui has lived in an environment where architectural forms express social upheaval. Bombings, battles and targeted drone strikes leave barbed rebar and fallen tiles in a way that is not only damaging human welfare, but has a profound effect on emotional and social mechanisms.
